For those who identified the boy's rescuer as Remington, all I can say is........ lucky guess.
If you're so clever, I bet you can't tell me who's speaking in the last panel, eh?A reader mentioned that Albion looks a bit different here than it does in Archie's comics. It's true, I wanted to elaborate upon the city's architecture. Browsing through past issues, Albion consisted mainly of identical egg- or horseshoe-shaped buildings with matching rows of windows. It was very monotonous and unrealistic, so I wanted better aesthetics. While I kept much of Albion's dome structures, I developed the urban layout with more buildings and areas to feel like an actual city. There's a great French fantasy comic called Pixie that had useful references for street views. Maybe for later issues, I'll try and work some Ottoman architecture in there too....

I think fans have a negative association with Thrash, given his role in Endangered Species.

Yeah, but that was kind of the point of the character. He's meant to be someone who does something horrible, but believes he's justified. Besides, you can't really write him out since he was in that arc in Downunda. He was meant to be in the Endangered Species arc; he just wasn't originally meant to win. I don't know if you plan to write your fan project to include all the original plans for the pre-reboot storyline, but you might want to look it up.

I didnt hate Thrash, he had a lot of potential to him, even with the Endangered Species situation. One part of that warp rings chase kind of put him in a sympathetic light. The way Endangered Species was handled may have been a cop out, and absurdly logic defying, and just dumb the more i think about it, but it left Thrash with some room to develop and maybe bounce a bit between good and bad, more so than what the usual path of vengeance would offer.
My point is I think Thrash is still salvageable as a character

Thrash wasn't exactly shoehorned so much as he was repurposed. He was always going to be the villain of the arc; what changed was the extent of his involvement.
He wasn't originally supposed to win, either.

My version of Endangered Species picks up where issue #243 left off. You can consider anything from the published versions of #244-246 to be null and void, so no warp ring shenanigans.
