You knew it was coming, right? A brand new satire tutorial covering copying vs. referencing -- now in video game format! Yay!
Again, not based on any specific person. I guess if someone did think it was based off them, they'd have to admit they were art-thieving copiers using the guise of referencing, and odds are it really isn't based on them but their guilty conscience thinks it is. Or something like that, whatever.

People need to draw their own work. Referencing the right way is one thing, but art theft is a completely different story (which some people seem to think IS referencing). What an awesome deviation

Dear Sexy Art God,
I have a question about "referencing." What about "referencing" images that are not owned by anybody and are technically in the public domain--i.e. the biohazard symbol or a Da Vinci drawing? Will the annoying haters get mad if I "reference" that?

Gah! I didn't realize how many people copied... but now that I've been on deviantart for a while, I tend to see amateur artwork (like mine but with better poses), and then I stumble across the original piece... it's maddening.
