You need to know how to make white icing with translucent clay, and I have a tutorial on that: [link] so check it out. :3So here's my second tutorial with some of my texture secrets and tools. Red velvet cake is my favorite cake, so I went with that.

This is a great tutorial, I'd have never thought of using a needle to make texture like that. I wonder if this technique could also be used to make things appear to be fuzzy?

why do you need translucent clay?? what does it do?

Translucent clay is clay that isn't entirely transparent, but light shines through it. When you add it to white clay it gives it a more natural icing-like color, and matches the gooey icing's color (which is liquid translucent clay and white clay).
