Merci for this Snuffie! I'm sure I'll be quite amused at what a little experiment of mine turns out like! Also, I have a question:
Some of your (awesome) pictures, like...um...these: [link] and [link] the main characters seem (well, they are) furry and flufffy, yet I don't see any lineart for the fur. So...do you line-out the fur in a similar colour, or just go over the original, non-fluffy lineart? I think I can understand how you distinguish every single hair- with opacity; but the fluffiness of something is just a...technique, if you will, that confuses me.
Thanks for your help!

Thanks alot
That blurry one there is made with drawing solid first with 100% then used smudgetool to blend and create the fur ^^ there were never any lineart on this, only the sketch in the same way as this tutorial shows and then removed after i didnt need it anymore :3
So no opacity, aleast not much on that peice x3 Hunter picture is a totally diffrent tecnique

Ah, so that's how you do it.
I guess the way you do it makes it easier for people who can't grasp the full concept of colour theory.

You all the coloring on separate layers? Or just on the one that you set to multiply?
👍: 0 ⏩: 1
griffsnuff In reply to Argus1002 [2010-11-05 21:04:10 +0000 UTC]
nope all the coloring here is done on the same layer, ive only got two layers, one for the sketch which is the only one who needs the multiply and the bottom layer were i color and add things to, you can use more layers if you are afraid to mess up, but as long as its under the sketch layer it works just fine :3

Ohh, thank you. Also, do you just use a computer mouse or do you have like a digital art pad with a stylus that helps you do your line art and coloring and stuff?

Lucky. -.- Looks like I'm gonna have to do a lot practice with my mouse. Any tips on using a mouse? Lol. (Artists don't usually reply to my comments so I'm using you as my guide until you get annoyed by me xD)

griffsnuff In reply to Argus1002 [2010-11-06 16:11:34 +0000 UTC]
xD hehe its ok to ask me dont be afraid to do that :3
When i used a mouse its important to take alot of breaks or it might hurt your wrist.
but start off finding positions to have your hand and all that that you like the best, and practice creating circles and bendy lines ^^
