just another old scribble, done on a train between point A and point B a month or so ago......winged nostalgia or somesuch, i won't even pretend i know, but i like how her hands turned out...
mostly pen and ink, marker for the wings, brown paper.
just keeping my hand in... *smiles*

I love how Old Masters-y your drawings are, and how spontaneous yet...atmospheric. Wings here = win. Also, why do drawings done on public transportation always turn out so epic?

I think the reason drawings on public transport tend to work is that, what with all teh shaking and rattling, you have no choice but to surrender to happy accident and play along with it - you can't afford to worry, or tense up. And I know I personally always bugger up drawings the minute I start worrying or trying too hard.
So it's not me, really - the trains in Sydney are just particularly condusive to lucky accidents where pen and paper are concerned.

Aww, thanks! And I know what you mean--the second I think something has got to be good, I ruin it...which is why all my good drawings end up on lined paper in the margins of my class notes. I wonder if that's somehow marketable... Unintelligible fragmentary factoids about Thomas More, with complementary drawings of naked guys! Order while supplies last!

hell, I'd buy them! If I had any disposable capital for buying art, that is.
Or, I could conceivably put out a similar product - naked girls and owls accompanied by illegible notes about Byzantine saints and the neurobiology of the vestibular system(often on the same page - I'm hardly the worlds most organised student). Together, we could cater to the entire market for nudes-surrounded-by-unreadable-class-notes!
Still, if it's a good picture, who cares what it's surrounded by? I'm pretty sure the first drawing of yours I faved was on grid paper.
