This is awesome! I've seen fractals like this so many times and have always wanted to create one, but didn't have a clue how to do it or what the method is even called.

I guess I forgot to post this, it was made for the people who could never get the correct base parameters to start with, thanks for the tut and the notes, credit back to you on the script because it wouldn't exist without your tut Β

Thanks a bunch for the tutorial! I don't usually obey the "post your results" suggestions on tutorials, but I'm trying to be a bit more community-minded.

HELP! I am at the begining of your tutorial and I did everything for the first step and I don't get the fuzzy circle you do in the picture. whhhy not?! lol. do I set Linear 3D to 0 or Linear to 0? or both? When I start a new thing it always has linear3D set to 1.
I must be doing something wrong.

you can try this if you never got a decent result, I made it after having the same problems everyone else had

You set the both linear and linear 3D to 0 on all transform, except transform 4.

*sigh* I got pretty boxes but they are all lined squares. I fail. urgh. I can't seem to get it right. lol.

guagapunyaimel In reply to FearaJinx [2011-11-19 02:03:24 +0000 UTC]
you have to rotate transform 2 and align it with transform 4 just like on the image. if you already got it working you can try to explore it.

Sorry to ask but I've tried to follow this tutorial several times and never manage to get an image like you describe. When I do the ocapacity change in Tx1, my preview screen gets all black and then, if I keep following the tutorial, indeed I get some shapes and repetition of the shapes, but they are pretty ugly and nothing like you have there.
Can you help me out?
Thanks.
