A realy usefull tut. I allways draw crappy limbs hehe...I hope after this tut they will improve :-D

My dragons are more like mammals than reptiles but I could try this style of drawing limbs too sometimes!

somehow it never works out if I try to use these circle skeletons.
I just start somewhere and see what happens
(main reason I can't seem to create the same thing 2x most of the time)

lol, that's what I did a few years ago: just let the randomness decide how my pictures looked like.
instead of using circles you can also use wavey lines. That's what I do most of the time (but I'm not sure if that's beginner-friendly)
For example, when this turns into this . I used the ellipses in that sketch just to make it look more plastic. Also, maybe taking a close look at general dragon or lizard anatomy in other pictures could help you too (even if you know about human anatomy you technically can use that knowlegde on dragons as well)
you also could try to draw a skeletton, that normally also lets you gain some experience (no matter how bad/good it looks like, just try it out)
