Description
This is a GNOME Shell theme based on the look and feel of the social network website, Google+.Google+: [link]
Icons: [link]
Wallpaper: Calm by 'elusive [link]
Font: Aller Sans
KDE4 version [link]
Instructions:
Please avoid a manual install and use the GNOME Tweak Tool, it's much easier.
You can use the gnome-shell theme extension for easier switching of themes.
GNOME Tweak Tool
Make sure you have user-theme-extension installed. Load the GNOME Tweak Tool and go to Shell Extensions and click the "Use Theme Extension" switch. Now go to "Theme" and click the Shell Theme box and locate your theme zip. Now you can select the theme in the dropdown box.
License: GPL
Compatibility: GNOME Shell 3.4
+ Icon
To use the + icon in your status menu, just copy the icon I put in the theme directory(user-available-symbolic.svg) to /usr/share/icons/gnome/scalable/status. Backup your old icon first. If you are using an icon theme that uses it's own symbolic icons, you'll have to replace their icon.
Update - 1.1 - 4th June 2012
- Minor border radius corrections to some parts of the theme.
- Changed close window button to a cross instead of a plus.
- Fixed focus button, should use Goggle red.
- End session now has a hover button effect for the open apps.

Okay I guess I am way new to adding themes for Gnome or maybe I only have Gnome 2 ? first
anyone know how to tell what Gnome Version one has on there Ubuntu Linux OS ?
then after than is figured out, oh wait I will have to play more with it, the .zip file I downloaded for the Theme does it have to go in a certain Directory ?
I assume yes or way off?
OKAY I GOT IT FIGURED, now I have to unzip it(OF COURSE! one of those Blank brain moments!) and put it in the proper directory

Great theme but propose it as a daily deviation is an oxymoron because it is for gnome 3.4

Doesn't matter, it's the art that counts. There is a lot of art you can't use.

Since we're talking about one of the best gnome shell theme you might think to update it to version 3.6/3.8

I don't mean to let down my followers and GNOME users in regard to themes(Since official GNOME doesn't support theme making)down but I gave good reasons for me to stop using GNOME3, it's not like I took my themes away, anyone can update them.

Hi, I've used Linux for a while and I can tell you how to do it: First download this file from deviantART of course. Then install the 'Gnome Desktop Environment' from the software center (click 'show technical packages' if it doesn't find it when searched) then install 'Gnome Tweak Tool' too. Then logout and reboot if necessary and before you login again click the small Ubuntu icon next to your username on the login screen. Then click on 'Gnome Desktop' or something like that. Login and you will discover the interface of Gnome 3. Click on 'Activities' (much like the Ubuntu dash but with much more stuff) and type 'Gnome Tweak'. Open it. Now go to Shell Extensions and click the "Use Theme Extension" switch. Now go to "Theme" and click the Shell Theme box and locate your theme zip. Now you can select the theme in the dropdown box. Save and close, logout and back in again. If you find you don't like Gnome 3's UI and you want to switch back, just logout and click the small Gnome icon and change it back to Ubuntu default UI (Unity).

The theme isn't compatible with later versions since I don't use GNOME any more. Instructions are in the description.

You can use the theme how you like, as long as it's within GPL.

If you use the media player indicator extension, the media buttons of the player have white color on a white background. Could you please fix that?
