Description
Occasionally, less is more...and that is the way I feel with this one.ΒIt begged to remain austere, and I complied.

I love your works, Diane...the minimal ones as well as the more elaborate. But it is the texture and the antiquated feeling I get from them that inspires me the most. And as I worked on this piece, extending the background texture of the printed image outward onto the back wall of the case itself, I found my thoughts turning to you and your beautiful images.

Wintermute strikes again! Another haunting success, both open and closed.

Just lovely, dear Yvette.. where do you get these interesting suitcases? They make for a perfect frame/container!

Here and there...street fairs, a couple of little shops I frequent. Unfortunately they can be rather expensive, so I constantly have to keep my eyes open for bargains, which (luckily for me) come along often enough.

Hi, Diane.
I hope it was just a momentary glitch.

This is great and I agree with Canan, an exhibition of your assemblages would be wonderful. They have style and flair and impact.

Yes, easier said than done of course. I thought about exhibiting from time to time back in PA but didn't get around to it - there was a county arts group that took what seemed to me to be inordinately high cut from sales, and I would have had to mount everything to begin with when I'd rather spend my time making new work. Your assemblages are ready to go... But they need room, not just a wall somewhere.
