Description Since my tablet is still down a did a few quick old-school sketches (5-10min).

This my first thought on a King Caesar redesign. I wanted its head to me foo-dogish, but I will correct it later. Also, there is no King Kong in my Godzilla Kaijuverse, so King Caesar takes Kong's place. Thus it is sort of a cross between Kong and the traditional K.C.

Hey, another thought-provoking revamp. Since most-heck, all-other Caesar/Seesar revamps I've found on DA tend to amplify the brute's feline/canine aspect, this is a neat departure any way you slice it.

Those long, goblin-esque ears & gangly primate fore/hindquarters (not to mention the retractable claws) are simply nifty; that bristling monkey-tail works equally well; and that fang-filled mug has definite potential. While adding some more fu-dog elements couldn't hurt, I do suggest you retain the shaggy beetle-brows, demoniac "goatee" & interlocking canines (although now that I ponder it, F-dogs & Asian dragons alike are rather beetle-browed anyway). Finally, if you op to beef up the torso, might I recommend a midsection more akin to that of a baboon or chimp, rather than the full gorilla treatment?

Ah, before I forget: perhaps as an upgrade to the original Seesar's erratic beam-reflection ability, each of this beast's 'hairs' serves as a miniature lightning rod/energy siphon, drawing power from solar radiation & electricity...and generating a collective EM field which dissipates & absorbs energy-weapon strikes, redirecting their thermal output to either (a) charge up Seesar's pelt, allowing him to taser close-combat opponents Kong '62-style or (b) discharge that power back at 'em in the form of optic rays, ball-lightning projectiles discharged from the palms, what-have-you. Of course, this still leaves KS relatively vulnerable to physical blows, projectile weapons and beams with some extra kinetic punch (e.g. King Ghidorah's bolts).

Again, thanks for indulging my nutty diatribes & fueling 'em with this sketch.

Thanks again. All good suggestions. I am planning on doing more research into KC and foo-dogs before i take this any further. It was really spur of the moment when I sketched these.

I really like this kaiju sized static electricty concept. I really hadn't thought about KC's abilities at all. I will give it some thought when I get to something more "finished"

Very different, very new, very nice. Love the new take on a classic monster.

Thanks!. Yes I like to imply more than actually define in my sketches. That way my mind can see what my hand can not draw!

Now, this is a differsnt and interesting Caesar! I never would have thought of making him apelike! It works, somehow, and if you make the face more foo dog like, I think it'll be a pretty awesome redesign al around!

So good to see you uploading again!

The foo dog face is of course, like you said, going to be refined. But i simply love this whole ape-Ceasar concept. Never thought of him like that and as I can see in your drawing, works fine.

An interesting take on the old Caesar. Never imagined him as an ape creature. I think you can succeed in this hybridization by keeping the simian body but making the head canine/feline as to accenuate his foo dog roots. I'd be sure to increase the volume of his chest as well, he looks a little underfed.
