Agh! My fingers! MAJOR carpel tunnel. I shouldn't have been sitting on my ass so long. Anways, here it is, the reference sheet for Spyro and Cynder, Redeemer style. LEts see, I need to thank for her awesome Cynder lineart, as it helped a great deal. Surprisingly, creating new characters off of old characters is a lot more difficult than it sounds. Anyways, I didn't use the lineart COMPLETELY, as in the original, she looked way to old, so I basically used it as a guideline, mainly on her paw. What else? OH! Cloth instead of bracelets, my idea. What else? I took some design ques off of Malefor, as I figured that Spyro would start looking like him eventually. What else? Image is to scale, yada yada. I'm really proud of Spyro's eyes, those came out better than I expected.
Edit: I have had some issues with people telling me that Cynder is in fact a Black dragon instead of a purple one. While in the storyline, she is indeed a black dragon, her powers are equivalent to that of Spyro. Not only that, but in the game, Dawn of the Dragon, her skin color was in fact a very dark purple. Those two in combination makes her, in MY opinion to be a purple dragon, and not simply some common shadow dragon. Say your opinions, that's what they are, but don't tell me I'm wrong and that I should change it, because I won't.

True, but she does have the equivalent. Her powers easily match Spyro's. Not only that, but she can use convexity and dragon time. Simply put, Malefor, a purple dragon, put purple dragon powers into her, so therefore, she has the abilities of a purple dragon, and therefore has the rank and status of a purple dragon, even if she is not THE purple dragon.

You've got a point, but Malefore didn't teach her his powers.
And, Cynder's powers were for mostly to stun the enemy and as for Soyro's powers were much more effective. :/

Not really. Her fear power(Sound) was really effective,e specially if you charged it up, and the tornado attack that she had was the fastest way to build up combo points and recharge your fury powers.

I relized that when my friendand I was playing DotD. I was Spyro and she was Cynder, and she said to me "Why is Spyro's elements stronger then Cynder's? Al Cynder's really does if just stun the enemy." And then I realized she was right. Until we got to that Burned Lands level and I showed her that Fear and Wind are really effective if you use that the right way, but all of Cynder's power are really just to stun the enemy.

Well, quite a few games don't have a decent AI, even if it's friendly. The AI in DotD really aren't that good. Even so, I don't think that the developers would have released a playable character if it wasn't balanced out with other friendly playable characters. And Cynder's powers make up for it in other areas. Most of the time, I just use her shadow power, and let them whack at each other while I complete the main objective, so long as it doesn't require killing things. And I totally disagree, Cynder's elements, if anything, are stronger than Spyro's, hence3 the reason for her increased chi storage, and the lack of sheer health, plus the shortened grabbing potential. Spyro is the other way around. He specializes in close quarters hand to hand combat, hence his increased grabbing power, and his improved health. So they have similar strength in their own ways.

Artificial intelligence is basically what controls a character in a game that isn't controlled by a player. In this case, Cynder would be the AI if you were controlling Spyro, and Spyro would be the AI if you were controlling Cynder. Also, I realize now that what I had taken to be an acronym for "AI" was really just a typo that was one letter short of "All". Even still the fact that most of the elements are there are for just stunning is because the melee attacks are more important. Most times, that's all I use is the melee attacks, and then if I get overwhelmed or surrounded, I use the elemental attacks to free up some space.

Well what I have realized when I play DotD is that Cynder has better fighting skills then Spyro as Spyro has the better elements then Cynder. I think thats how they balance it out since they give Spyro more Mana points and Cynder more Health points. :/

Are you sure about that? Me playing the PS2 version, with maxed out upgrades, Cynder has more mana points, always, plus, she has the special mana regen armor piece. I figured that Cynder had better elements because of that, but it might be different on different versions of the game.

No no, it's not hat extreme, though your close. True color blindness, where you see shades of grey, is very rare. I can never remember which type mine is, they have a technical term for it, but mine is where I'll see like a dark shade of red, and it'll look black, or a dark shade of pink and it'll look red to me, kinda like Cynders stomach. I also have issues with blues ad purples and yellows and greens. Shoot, I've even mistaken red flowers for just strangely shaped green leaves before.

Maybe. Normally, I don't even bother with the metric units, because here in the US, the imperial system is more common. I'll look into putting in off to the side though.
