That entire story would have changed drastically, if Vader had actually gone to this battle. Something along the lines of the final act of Rogue One! This is a phenomenal piece of art!

Haha thank you! I think in the game this was painted for, Vader showing up was basically the doomsday clock. You only had so many turns to escape the prison (or rescue a fellow rebel or something?) before he'd show up and end your game haha.

Thanks! No he wasn't in the movie. This piece is a for role playing game scenario inspired by that scene. Players are under a time limit to achieve their escape before Vader arrives and ruins their day.

Thanks! Yeah I was really feeding off the McQuarrie look for this one in particular. Part of capturing that classic Star Wars feel is in making it look like its still the 1970s haha.

Thank you! Yeah when it comes to the original trilogy, it just seems more "authentic" to me to try and recreate the simplicity of the special effects too. For example, like how a lightsaber never actually illuminates anything.

I like the atmosphere, the texture, the composition, and of course Vader just hangin' out, lookin' all imposing, while there's chaos all around him, as is his habit. Nice work.
