20" x 30" oil on board..
You guys know me - I like my Vaders. So when I get a job brief that calls for "Vader standing in front of some Stormtroopers" my brain responds with "Vader leading an entire army of Stormtroopers in the most intimidating way you can think of but with a pretty sunrise. In oil paint." And then the following two weeks are the best kind of hell to get it done! For FFG's Star Wars: Destiny card game.

To be fair, the title is not entirely ironic. Darth Vader did after all enforce if not peace, then at least the absence of open war for about twenty years - and this in the most expansive regime in then-recent galactic history. Though obviously the means and circumstances were quite different, he nevertheless succeeded where republican and separatist diplomats alike failed.
That, and he litterally does "speak softly".
