Description With RWBY being firmly established as part of the DC Unlimited, all the players from the lore are all a part of a greater scheme. While Remnant is a part of a pocket dimension that connects to mystical worlds like Gem World or even Skartaris, The Queen of The Grimm: Salem has watched a far for the many generations of how these worlds connect. While she dares enacts a plan to destroy humanity of her world, she has discovered the concept of other gods from beyond the stars. One particular God that she has grown to respect, yet ultimately not to trifle with. The Ruler of Apokolips: Darkseid. For a millennia, they have known of the other, yet never met. In hindsight, Darkseid is a powerful god, waging his own war against Highfather, and the rest of the gods of New Genesis, while Salem, has been at war with her own gods, trying to incite war with brothers of light and darkness (The Lords of Order and Chaos). Yet it seems almost as they have yet to reach their true goal, total domination. Until now.

After making his way to the stars, returning from the Dark Multiverse, Darkseid has made himself known to Salem in the world of Remnant. As the Omega Regime slowly begins to rise, he offers a place alongside others. In truth, Salem knows better than to blindly trust a dark god such as Darkseid is. And in truth he agrees. If Darkseid wanted to, he could've eradicated Remnant the moment he stepped foot, ensuring that no one would threat his rule, but with her power to lead so many Grimm, and get others to do her bidding, it would be foolish to squander such potential. It's a case of I'd rather have her work with me, rather against me. In return, Darkseid will ensure that she will have her vengeance. And what the hell, who is she to turn down a force of Great Darkness
