Description
Part 1 of my Coloring TutorialThere are some methods that would be used in other art programs, but this tutorial relies heavily on photoshop inner workings.
This is a walk-through of what I do and how I do it. So yes it's long.
This might be more details than some people want, but everyone comes in at different levels. I assume you only understand a little about photoshop and computers e_e if you're more knowledgeable just skim it. As I go on I leave out more because hopefully you read the beginning stuff xD
This covers:
Setting us your base layer
Editing the base layer
Editing colors
Part 2 covers shading and highlights [link]

Thank you so much for making this. I always colored in such a difficult way and did my lineart in photoshop. In the end I ended up hating it because it was nothing like my original drawing. With this its so much easier! I can't thank you enough for taking time to make this tutorial.

I'm so happy it was helpful!
Yes I never liked photoshop lineart because you lose the original lines and it's so time consuming! I'd rather put that time into the coloring ^__^

This is very good, bunny!! Is this your fixed style of colouring? I normally don't have one of my own, but through trial and error, I've learnt that painting the background first is a good idea.
Or, like what you have done - it's also a good approach, since you're just using flat colours.
Now, on to part 2!

Pretty much, normally I do make the base color for everything first (including background) but doing the skin or background first or last never made much difference for me o3o I'll go over it so maybe you'll understand why.
But for now I wanted to take people through the whole shading process beginning to end. I thought that would be easier to stomach than when you have a bunch of layers running around XD
and thank you so much your comments are always helpful to me ;w;

Sure, sure, take your time. I can see where you're going with that, and now that you mentioned it, it *is* more systematic that way.
Nyee hee hee, no problem, Bunny. What are friends for?
