) really spoke to me in my own language, it was exactly what I was looking for, looking back to my first major nude, Angie .[link] I feel like I have come full circle and ready for a new phase.
I'm really very excited.

New phases are always envigorating, if not a little bit scary. I love the continuation of the red in this one. It leads the eye right down, and you don't miss anything. Beautiful composition and execution. I could not be more in love with your work!

You have outdone yourself, i liked the original image but i love your painting even more, not only because of light but because of the motion captured.

right, i think this rules, no doubt. However, though you don't have to "capture" every micron detail of the original photo, i believe there is a symptom here of the overall problem that is thwarting your progress. the texture of the blanket in the photo is completely different from your painting. this tells me that you're cheating a bit, not spending as much time as you could, or getting as much detail as you're capable of rendering. i think you're comfortable with these types of paintings; they're easy, awesome, and overall...ah-boring.

I'm really happy with it. The main thing I've have really changed is to crop it, to give the viewer more of a sense of being intimate invloved, rather then watching from a distance

as for the cropping, i think you're absolutely right. you've got a major eye, crazy talent, brush control, color manipulation. these are some bangin' paintings, but i think you can do a ton better.
