Description
Can't find the original tutorial... if I find it, I'll give credit. Anyway, found a version of this method on a Japanese website by a woman who was providing screentone, fonts, etc. But it was in Japanese, so I remade the tutorial idea in English. I find this method easier than any other method up on DA currently and I find it clever to boot. This is for Photoshop, though I'm sure it will work in any other painting program with layers and guides. (Gimp and Paint.Net come to mind)

Use patterns for screentone here: [link]
Also, if you wish for pattern rotation, please vote for it on Adobe's website. [link]
Also vote for preset organization: [link]
It will make the life of people who make patterns and your life easier if we could have this in Photoshop.

I was wondering if you could tell me where the second set of guides go? I can't tell on the screenshot. I mean when you are adding the moons. I love this tutorial

Oh, I put them in between the halfway point and the edge, but technically you can place them wherever, so I made no comments. As long as it's not at the edge, you can put whatever you want. To get it to repeat, you need to line things up correctly.
