Awww, you're too nice!
Just because I made a nice tutorial though, doesn't mean you shouldn't! It's awesome seeing the same concept from different points of view.

Kita-Angel In reply to toadette100 [2010-06-08 00:20:05 +0000 UTC]

Yeah, I agree, they are cheaper! Although I also believe that ProMarkers are made in England so it works out great for you!!
Shipping ProMarkers to my home is about as much as buying COPICs and I love the fact that COPIC markers are refillable so it becomes quite worthwhile for me. xD

Great tutorial! I agree with a lot of the material recommendations. I think the hand sanitizer is a good idea. I get my hands get dirty easily. The ruler idea is good too. I always bring plastic rulers for school and they break in two days XD

Kita-Angel In reply to AKirbyandhisCheese [2010-04-04 04:28:27 +0000 UTC]

I'm glad you find it helpful to you!
Hand sanitizer is magic in a bottle!
Yeah, breaking in two days sucks. I know there's also these 1$ rulers in thin floppy like plastic. They don't break, they bend and get crappy. Those are okay too now that I think about it LOL. I always bent mine in two days though

AKirbyandhisCheese In reply to Kita-Angel [2010-04-04 13:20:31 +0000 UTC]

My school's obsessed with Hand Sanitizer. I see it in very classroom. I always use it. It makes my hands fresh and clean

1$ school supplies never does miracles for me. I got some mechanical pencils once and the erasers were already dry. I hate hard, dry erasers too. Some pink erasers have a weird pink tint to them. That's why I always use white erasers in art.

Kita-Angel In reply to AKirbyandhisCheese [2010-04-06 01:57:39 +0000 UTC]

Yeah I know, I have hand sanitizer everywhere now!

1$ stuff never did anything good for me too. Erasers and pencils either snapped in half or dried out into a fine power. The rulers though were from an office supply store, they're all wobbly lol. I actually liked it enough.
I always use Staedtler erasers now though LOL.

Sometimes, Dollar Stores bring miracles, but not usually. I love making fun of those Engrish toys they there XD

Kittyangelgirl In reply to ??? [2010-03-30 02:19:23 +0000 UTC]

here's a tip to keep your ruler from getting stained with ink or marker: scotch tape about 4 NICKELS (or washers) to the bottom of the ruler. This will cause the ruler to be lifted off the paper a bit, and keeps the ruler and paper from smudging when you go to move the ruler.

Kita-Angel In reply to Kittyangelgirl [2010-03-30 03:17:03 +0000 UTC]

Yeah, my stainless steel ruler has a cork pad underneath it so it was lifted up, and I would do something like that, but I enjoy the transparency of my acrylic ruler. I will be sure to mention that maybe in my comments though if you don't mind, it's a pretty handy tip

No problem at all! I actually got the idea just last week from my Drawing Prof. If you do include it, wherever it may go, thanks! 8D

daitoshi In reply to ??? [2010-03-28 17:51:48 +0000 UTC]

Hokay. The tutorial itself is pretty good, but the font is TERRIBLE, and really hard to read.
TT_TT

Sorry, but you should choose a better flowing typeface for easy reading, not one that 'looks pretty'

All the swirls and pink outlines do nothing if the reader has a terribly hard time trying to read what you're trying to say.

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

Kita-Angel In reply to daitoshi [2010-03-28 18:49:35 +0000 UTC]

Thanks for that!
I actually hardly noticed that until you pointed it out.
I picked out a better font that is more type face than swirly like. I think this one might be a bit better.
