Meh.... I can't find any animation programs... I've got Adobe Photoshop Elements 6.0, Corel Painter Essentials 4, Neopaint(which has animation but it's very crappy), and Paint.Net or something... Grr.... I give up! x.x

Hm... I lucked out. It turns out that I already had imageready and photoshop on my computer XD. I'm having fun with emotes though, I've already uiploaded three on my account! This help a lot, thanks! Although... May I ask something it it's not too much trouble?
1). How exactly do you do the blinking/eye-changing effect? I understand the logic in layers, and I'm good with those, but I can't get the transition right :/.
2). I saw that ~Argetlam-Br-01 did an explosion effect in his laser gun. How do you get that down? I assume that it has to do with layers, but I can't seem to understand how ><

1) Just make 1 layer the opened eyes layer, and the closed eyes on a different layer. Then in 1 frame, you make the open eyes layer show, and in the next frame of animation, you turn that layer off, and show the other one, and then simply make another frame and open them again.
2) As for explosions, it's the same principle. You have to make each stage of the explosion show on a different layer, and make them visible one at a time. It requires a lot of drawing and re-drawing on new layers, and it takes quite some time to make it look good, so you need a lot of patience.
