It's like she's wearing a poncho. (I can't remember what that type of clothing is really called... Two squares stiched together at the shoulders.) Interesting concept.

Thought so on rendering...

The lighting was too good for Poser.

Well done. Rendered in poser?

Did you put a 'big toe' morph on the figure, or is that just camera angle?

Lokai2000 In reply to arcady [2006-03-09 01:09:31 +0000 UTC]

Nope, this was rendered in Povray. (The posing and cloth was done in Poser.)
The big toe is just camera angle and lighting.

I see. You should use a thinner silk sheet. I think just a bit of semi transparecy would add to it. Not too transparent just enough to give it a sheerness.

That must have taken a lot of tweking to get just right

Lokai2000 In reply to AreeElf [2006-03-08 17:31:36 +0000 UTC]

I was actually thinking about that. It didn't quite look right though. I'm still not sure why.
I've had this "silk" like material in y library for a long time. Yes, it was quite difficult to get right. I still don't think it looks quite like silk, but I like the effect anyway.

Well there's different grades of silk and it does look silky and satiny in its sheen. My wedding gown was made of this really thick silk.

I just love seeing your work and I look forward to the unfolding of your xk hits characters

It was originally a rubber sheet. I thought the silk looked better though.

Not per se, but I have thought about trying it in the poser's cloth room... Lovely render! The clock is cool, and so is the silk.

Actually... I did do this in the cloth room.
The wind force objects helped as well.

hehe, whenever a watch is shown in a pic, it's always 2:50 because the clock arms look like a smile. Also interesting the number "4" is not in roman numbers in this clock, although the rest of the number are. The lighting on the dynamic cloth looks really amazing. Great job!

Lokai2000 In reply to ken1171 [2006-03-08 22:26:27 +0000 UTC]

Interesting... I never noticed that the 4 wasn't quite a roman numeral. The clock was a freebie. [link]

It just makes the pic more interesting (for those who care for silly details) because it's unexpected.
