Description
Well.. for whatever reason I was inspired by 's Miza character. I hope I did the character some justice. ( I also hope she is not upset that I made an image using her character. )Related content

Thanks!
I liked the pose. It was originally for MayaDoll. I had to adapt it to Aiko.

Thanks! Getting the lighting right for these kind of scenes is always tough.

You didn't draw it yourself? How did you do it (what prog)?

I`m so happy you thought it was drawn!
This is actually a 3D render with some post work. I wrote a tutorial [link] on this a long time ago. I`m thinking about updating it while I`m on vacation here in the near future.

*shiver* The hair was a pain. Trying to get anime shaders and transparencies working together was not fun......
The lines want to show up in the transparent areas. I just finally gave up and disabled them for the hair. That's why there aren't any edge lines for the hair.

There are many ways to achieve toon effects using Poser shaders. In my gallery I have rendered at least half a dozen different ways, each one showing their own strong and weak points. There is also a render where I mixed 2 different toon shading techniques together with normal rendering, resulting in a quite interesting compound effect --> [link]
For flat cartoonish looks I prefer a mixture of "edge blend" and "Color Saturation" nodes --> [link] because it preserves both textures and transparencies while allowing choices for dark and light colors (takes long time to setup, though). In your case, if the hair doesn't look good with one toon shading method, then try another one just for that part.

Hmmmmm... I forgot to explore adding the lines in the material definitions. I will have to try this out.

Outlining in Poser seems to be its weakest point, and there has been countless forum discussions about the subject. There was some hope Poser 6 would improve that, but in the end it didn't. For that reason most of us still have to improvise when it comes to Poser toon outlines.

The toon render was a real let down for me in poser 6. It was the reason I bought the bloody tool.....

Personally, I see no difference between Poser's default toon renders using either versions 5 or 6. The latter allows you to choose a line thickness, but it's between thick and thicker... and it's always broken or showing at the wrong places.

Thanks.
I was originally going to have the wings up, but I like how they turned out as well.

I just realized I forgot she had a mole on her cheek. I updated the image.
When I saw the charcter, I realized I had enough 3D models sitting around to throw together to make her.
I couldn't resist the challenge....
I wanted a longer skirt, but didn't have any longer skirt models in my library.
