Yet another attempt to capture the elusive Megopis scabricornis has ended up in failure, but at least I got its relative Prionus coriarius, or tanner. It's one of my favorite longicorns ever. It looks quite fierce despite being completely harmless. Interestingly their adults do not eat and they are living off fat reserves (hence their rather massive body).
As a side note, my SD card has bit the dust and I might have just lost everything from today's expedition, but we'll see. There is an option to try data recovery service. At least it didn't crap out yesterday, otherwise I wouldn't have this picture.
