I don't really have anything to say here because I already said most of it in the tutorial. I hope this helps though, even by only a little bit.

Erm, I have an idea? Maybe have the rainbow in another layer and have it be more transparent. The first thing I notice about bubbles is not usually the bright rainbow colors. :3
However, good tutorial! Very detailed. :3

Ah yeah, this tutorial is super-outdated and only really referred to a method I used in a particular image that I was asked to write about. I should probably scrap or delete it; it's not very accurate at all lol

Okay so one question; What does the "preserve transparency" do? didn't quite figure that out.

"Preserve Transparency" basically locks the layer, so you can't color outside what you have already colored.
