Description EDIT: Wow! This got onto the front page! Thank you so much, guys, I'm really glad you like it! xD

Like it says in the tutorial, a lot of people have been noting me to ask how I shade or colour or sketch my drawings, instead of telling them all seperately, I have made them this!

Its one helluva big file so I do apologise dial uppers! I tried to make it as small as I could ! <__<

Although I did it for those people who were noting me, anyone is free to use it as long as they comment or fave it ^^ I hope it is of some help to you, since I draw like a freak!

FAQ

Did you use a mouse for this? - No, I used a Graphire wacom tablet.

What software did you use this in? - Adobe photoshop CS2.

Can you make this in OC/PSP etc, please? - I'm afraid not. The only software I use is photoshop, I do not have any other method of doing my pics, so I wont be able to make a tut on them.

--------------------------

Please reference to this tutorial if you use it, that way more people can benefit from it! Thank you!

Hi Shivia this toturial is old I know but I decided to look at it since I'm a begginer at Photoshop. Your toturial it great! It helped me alot!! But I have a question and sorry to disturb you. On the part about the shading when you say to use the wand tool on the color like you did with glimmer wich is purple, do you stay on the shading layer?Or do you go on a different layer?
Another question, when I tried to use it, it wouldn't work. You probably don't know how to fix it but I was just asking you anyway to see maybe if you did. Well when I try to use the wand tool like you said, I click where you tell us to, but it goes around the picture instead, and then I try again and then it goes to deselect for some very odd reason...And when I'm on the wand tool, do I click on those two squares like you do with the lasso tool? Sorry I'm just weird like this, sorry that its so long and this makes you read a whole bunch but I was just wondering.
Sorry again for waisting your time, I'll try not to do it again.
~Thank you!

Great tut, I havn't shaded with that tool before. And Hen I tried it out it looked so awesome xD But not quite like yours.. Heh. Woundering if you maybe used a diff setting for that tool other than default..? :3

mereni In reply to thezoe [2007-05-30 22:58:41 +0000 UTC]

I dont think so, I just keep with defaults, nice and easy.

Very lovely tut ! And for CS2 even :3 I've had a hard time finding a good one, so thanks !

But I was wondering if you use a different setting than the default one for the gradient tool while shading? I matched up all the things you pointed out but mine didn't turn out looking the same xD Never shaded like this before, but it looked awesome even though it didn't work out !
