Hehe, cool. I kind of get this vibe from it. I think it's largely due to the Krieg guardswoman dominating the foreground.

Hmmm...I seem to recall hearing that it's generally a bad idea to close one eye whilst sighting down a weapon, as the good Commissar is doing. Granted, while closing one eye makes it easier to discern details through optics, it also leaves you without peripheral vision - which tends to reduce situational awareness, to a degree. Plus, I'm not sure if that applies to shoulder-fired, anti-armor munitions.

Also, is the commissar carrying a las-cannon or a missile-launcher? I'm guessing the former, since the weapon is missing any sort of back-blast. And now I realize that the commissar has no spare rockets. Derp.

I can dig it. Honestly though, you have a point. Even with the 40k approach to physics and weapons (which is sort of stuck in 1990's flame decal do the dew awesome phase) the idea of an rpg that small holding more than 10 rockets is dumb diddy dumb.

I'm glad you brought it to my attention. Cheers.

Mr-Culexus In reply to Cylexus [2009-02-07 03:22:37 +0000 UTC]

Raege does enjoy this sort of thing, but she's more inclined towards brutality and close quarters combat than explosives. The thump and recoil of an auto pistol round shattering through an opponents spine, the meaty rip of an enemy being decapitated, that sort of thing.

She also likes Glen Miller.

Cylexus In reply to Mr-Culexus [2009-02-07 13:23:38 +0000 UTC]

Glen Miller!? Is this some kind of veteran soldier thing? My uncle was a 'arabat' - South African special forces - during the cold War. He fought african comunists and so on, anyway he was a fan of Glen Miller too. I used to like listening to him as well.

Hmm, regardless its nice to know Raege does like something.

NicklausofKrieg In reply to Juskan [2009-02-07 05:18:50 +0000 UTC]

well when it comes to the history of Krieg there was a massive civil war that ended with the loyalist troops nuking their entire planet from orbit which created such a high radiation level that everyone has to wear a gas mask plus since the civil war took so many lives the death korps resorted to cloning a significant amount of there troops to fill in the ranks so they wear gas masks so they won't look too weird but of course if your not on Krieg then i guess you don't need to wear a gasmask

Juskan In reply to NicklausofKrieg [2009-02-07 05:25:59 +0000 UTC]

Elite-Pirate In reply to Juskan [2009-02-07 09:04:23 +0000 UTC]

The Death Korps trains their troops to live in their equipment as though it were additional flesh.
Don't forget the Krieg regiments are masters of siege, regardless of whether they are besieged or besieger. They get no chance to take off the mask, lest they fall to a toxic atmosphere, or chemical weapon, and there is no time to ever switch clothing as such. Even outside such situations, they aren't likely to be seen without their beloved masks.
It's a disturbing factor for most other Guardsmen, understandably. I'd be a little unsettled by a woman that says little-to-nothing, and is constantly producing a hissing noise from the gas mask, which has a skull-motif to boot.
