Description

The great interior desert of serinarcta is a harsh place. Less than 200 ml per square meter annual rainfall, summer temperatures up to 25 degrees Celsius, freezing nights can occur even during midsummer, and the winter season can last up to 8 months in some places. Winter temperatures during day vary, but nights can be colder than -40 degrees Celsius! This shows that the climate in this place is very continental, similar to places like central Asia.

But even here, in this barren place, where even the hardy cactaiga cannot grow, animals and plants eke out a living.

One of these animals is Pallas Puffcat, colloquially called the Serinian Manul. When you see this canithere, the reason for this name becomes clear. The serinian manul bears great resemblance to Pallas Cat, a feline on earth. Just like Pallas cat, the serinian Manul lives in a very continental climate with low precipitation, cold winters and huge temperature differences throughout the year. It also has a thick fur, especially in winter, which protects it against the harsh night chills. Most hilarious is its almost perpetually pissed of looking face, which is another strong resemblance to Pallas cat. It has round pupils just like Pallas cat, and is also a solitary species. It also hunts small animals like cats do, the prey species are molodonts and smeerps, and also sparrowgulls and other birds, it especially targets the chicks.

Unlike Pallas cat the Serinian Manul can open its mouth widely and swallow small animals whole. It is also not primarily nocturnal.
