"Utopian Treasure"
Software used: Vue Infinite 6, Poser Pro, Photoshop CS3
In my infinite endeavors to expand my horizons, I have decided to upload something completely different; a gorgeous woman adorned in armor with a sword! LoL! I arrived at this one quite awhile ago as the inspiration came from the bright idea to combine the primary Warrior and secondary Necromancer classes in Guild Wars for my main character. Needless to say, this character's performance suffered through much of the game until I fully Ascended and was able to switch the secondary class for the big win. It seemed like a great idea at the time, but with the Warrior's terribly low amount of spell points, there weren't many good secondary skills I could actually cast! Live and learn I say!
This piece is fairly close to complete 3D as I get with only the hair and effects being painted in Photoshop. Vue steps in to create the environment with quite a bit of lens blur messing up my pretty background, but I felt it projected the character focus much better and popped her off the screen. I could have made her more wicked and decayed looking I suppose, but I got comfortable with her pretty face and that L'Oreal hair! LoL! I know I mentioned to quite a few that my next one would be really strange, but I ran into a snag and ripped it completely apart and will require more time to finish it to my standards. Stay tuned to the same channel as I will have more MOAR very soon!

oh where does one go to get water for their fish? so how big is your tank? yeah my fish likes to a little nip of something now and then

It's just a ten gallon tank...nothing elaborate, but some of the fish in there are like 5 years old now. They require purified water and won't have anything less than that. I go an get 5 gallons every week and clean up the tank and give them a fresh blast of the good stuff!

Well, I've just had them for so long that the purified water is what they are used to. The tap water here is like poison with the chlorine in there and they don't like that much. As for rum...haven't tried that one yet! Hehe!

Me and the fish share the water. They get about 1/3 per week and I drink the rest!

Everyone loves my fish and even though they are old, they are very colorful still. The burials at sea are all private and nobody knows anything!

You should do a feminine portrait. I wanna see how that'd turn out. I bet it'd be wicked.
And I think honestly the blur makes the depth in the scene really work. I think it was a rather good touch.

I have a scene all ready for something feminine actually. I just need to find the right mixture of things to throw together and it's missing a concept...anything would work other than just standing there. hehe! Yeah, boots are cool...I can hardly afford sneakers so I'm out on that one! LOL! I'm starting to blur stuff more and more..even int he big scenes, a little lens blur can really make the foreground pop out!

Well, no...no dancing or anything. The scene is a classic setting that has a portal to the 4th dimension. The doorway is open and leads to a completely different place. It's not really working out well and I put it on hold until I figure it out.

I don't know about the big win at all, but the epic fail part I'm more than familiar with! LOL! Oh, I've dated her type before and you will be amused to know that it's great fun for show, but it take a trip into nightmare town really fast! That suit is quite unique with all those skulls. The girl has the kind of expression that makes you want to hide because you just know that she is up to no good

She's a little hellraiser for sure! Those looks I have seen before and believe me...the best defense against that is a good pair of running shoes! LOL! This would actually be a protagonist character if you can picture that. She's one of the good guys and it makes you wonder what she has to fight off in her spare time! Hehehe! I definitely say this is different from the normal stuff you've been posting up. There is just a certain quality about her that kind of sets her apart. Maybe it's this combined class idea you were trying. lol I think I would have tried for something little different considering she also has echos of the "Heavy Metal" look to me. And for those who don't know "Heavy Metal" is I believe an old comic with epic-ness and beautiful scantily clad women of awesomeness as well! It's definitely go some interesting things in it for sure.
But yes those are my thoughts.

Yeah, it's just a simple portrait for the most part. I've been asked to focus more on the characters instead of huge scenes and I had some lying around that I was planning on posting anyway. Next time will be much more weird as I'm playing around with different genres and mixing things up a bit. There will be many more opportunies for something in this style in bigger scenes as I haven't posted those and I'm waiting to drop the big bombs yet. At one point, I was thinking of doing commissions for game characters like WoW and Guild Wars, etc...and I guess this was my attempt at a profile portrait in that vein. I'm way too slow for commissions, though. Unless they want to wait two weeks or so. LOL! Thanks for the comment and the visit, I apprecaite it!

lol I think that is the perfect wait time all things considered. If that is something your interested in doing you just gotta shoot for the stars, hope for the best, but more important do and try your best. If 2 weeks is what they have to wait for as far as quality is concerned, let them wait, especially if they love your artwork. You'd be surprised how patient people can be when they want a favored artist to do a commision piece.

Yeah, that's a whole other game and I've had hobbies that turned into work and the vibe changes really fast. All these seem like a great deal of work as it is...the best case scenario is that one will take a week and that is with the planets aligned and the birds chirping with leprechauns rubbing my back. LOL! I ended ripping the one I'm working on now completely apart after I was just about done just to add one small item...I kick myself for doing that sometimes, but it's worth it in the end!

Hmmm...well maybe you just need to try and take something and play with it? Sometimes that helps. Doesn't have to be perfect! That's what art is about experimenting till you get where you want to be with what you're doing.

Yeah, it is a bit on the flimsy side in the lower regions for sure! As I was saying in the text there, it's inspired by Guild Wars and the chicks in that game are completely off the hook sexy! The Hero Necromancer than you can acquire for your team is *really* sexy looking and wears kind of a figure hugging top that is slit open from the neck down to her stomach! The Necromancer class pretty much conjures the dead and has vile spells and stuff, but the Warrior class can be either primary or secondary, as well. This was my mix of both and I had to throw some sex appeal in there and to make her semi-agile for defense! At least the breasts aren't popping out of her top...that is the next one. LOL!! Another (If you'll excuse the merciless play on words) treasure from your gallery, friend. Though I do notice one thing. Her left foot in the small view looks ... Off balance ? In the full view there's a small white overlay of some sort. Dunno, it just caught my attention. Cheers!
