This is a great little tutorial! I have trouble using multiple layers when it comes to animating things. Maybe I'll try again with all this to guide me!
Thank you!

macromedia flash 8.
maybe possible with a mouse but its gonna take 5X the time to finish it.
just invest in a decent drawing tablet.

Very intriguing watching each step-by-step process, it makes me admire the finished product so much more
And that character walks with a lot of attitude

OF COURSE! The day that this got a DD was the day that I submitted my own walk cycle in to my animation class. Why couldn't this get a DD three weeks ago?

I had an idea how flash was made, but never saw a guide like this. It is very interesting. Now all I have to do is learn how to draw.

Thank you! Animation can be very intimidating, at least to me... I have a The Animator's Survival Kit and a few other notes on animation, but seeing it done like this, all the way from start to finish, AND animated is much more helpful and helps break every aspect down
Great work! DD well deserved.

just really make use of the layers if you are not confident with geting your line art consistent.
the animator survival kit book assumes you to draw the entire thing on paper with very good control to your character consistency.
you can also cheat by drawing the face image and copying the same image and pasting it on the diff frames accordingly, but of course this method only works with limited options.
