And this is a little story about it !

Rainy day. No. Stormy day. Eryn was in a bad mood when she arrives in the club-house of the stables. Just the fact of having to cross the estate with a horse to join the indoor arena to work properly desesperate the girl. She hated rain, and - even if she'll never admit it - was a little scared about storms. And so, she hated autumn. She largely prefer the spring season, with it kind temperatures and it lovely sunny days, the flowers and trees, the nature which wake up... But, hell, she definitely hate this kind of weather. Even worse, her bad placing in the first big show of the stables made her upset... Against herself, mostly. She had the feeling that she didn't deserve her place in the stables at all. Such a pity...

So, Eryn was in a pretty bad mood when she looked at her planning, and become desespeate when she realized that she have to work her usually lovely stallion - "lovely"... Well, just with her, in fact - Hangover. Why was she desesperate ? Because she was in a bad mood, the weather was bad and so, the stallion would be in a such worst mood than her. She does a big sight and goes to take just the bridle and leg tacks of the stallion. If she have to work with him today, that'll not by riding him. She knew that if she ride him, the working session just will be disastrous. Once she'd take all her stuff, she head for the stables and here she find her horse in his box. Immediately when he see her, he let his ears, up to this point in a relaxation position, plaster his ears on his head.

"Well. You're not stupid, boy, you know that I come to you for work, uh ?" asked Eryn, with a sarcastic smile.
She take her brushes and enter into the box. The dark bay stallion turn himself in the opposite position of her.
"Oh, come on, Hang' ! I know you don't want to work, and me neither, but we have to. You became fatty after your holidays in fields this summer, you need to work. For your health condition." She say, facing him with a teasing smile.

The stallion, who looks resigned, do a big snort and stay motionless during the time that Eryn brush him and saddle him.

"You see, when you want to, you can be really cool."

When Eryn said that, she never imagine how Hangover could be unpleasant when he really don't want to work. Then saddling him, she lead the boy to the indoor arena, braving the heavy rain. Immediately when she release the lunge of the stallion to allow him to unwind, the saddlebred goes in a sweeping trot, then a sweeping galop, clearly happy to let off steam. During this time, Eryn decided to work him on liberty jump, so she installed some jumps in the arena. After doing it, she pick up her horse back and then, ask him to calm down, that he does. But maybe he calm down too much... Because once she begin the work, the stallion immediately become straggler. Eryn lead the horse on the first jump, a little spacer, which he pass whithout any problem, with a kind of motivation. She let him jump some other times, in both hands, and then, she decided to up a little the difficulty. She installed a little vertical, not so high, and then, lead the stallion to it. That in this moment that Hang' suddenly decided to not be cooperative aymore this day. The stallion decided to not raise his legs and they collide with the tallest bar. The first time he do that, Eryn don't see that the cause of it was the uncooperative mood of the stallion, and put it down to the summer lack of work. But when she lead him the following twices and when he do the same, she had to see the evidence : Hang' absolutely don't want to work.

"HANG' ! Don't fuck with me, boy ! I know you don't want to work, I know you're grumpy, but PLEASE... You can do so better than that !" she suddenly scream, after realized the attitude of the tricky horse.

Evidently, Hangover her her, and wasn't obvisouly agree with her. He had decided to not work. He would NOT work. So therefore the more time passed, more he jumped with a big lack of conviction. To the point where Eryn was finally obliged to stopped the work session, for fear of he could hurt himself. She lead him back to the stables, unsaddle him and let him in his stable, whithout any nice word or stroke. This day, her horse had so disappointed her that she wouldn't see him more for the day.

At the end of the session, no one could say who was the more grumpy under the rider and the horse...
