Description
On a roll!I enjoyed slapping the Candyman together so much, I figured I'd keep going and work up a portrait of another character I've been sketching. I think his name is Craig. I'm not sure yet, though. I'm open to better ideas.
Just to prove that not EVERYTHING is happy-go-lucky in Jellybots-world (just most things)...Craig is a big bully, and not terribly bright or open minded. A kid with a Jelly suit and something to prove.

you're gonna try and make a fully articulated character? sounds complicated, with them covered in jelly, but if you can do that sort of thing that's awesome!

I love the blunt design and the way the indentations on his suit match the projections in the jelly. But what are the oblong shapes in the tips of the horns? Are they inside the jelly, or are they refletions? Also I think the tooth is a little bit silly

The Candyman is fantastic. I have nothing to say against him. And his glutinous cravat.
I saw the tip-pieces in other jellybot forms after I wrote that comment, so I think I understand now.
I like the internal structure to these things. It gives a lot of space for creative interpretation.

Very cool! I like the name Craig for a bully character and I like the points at the front of his suit. Does the jelly move around? Like can they control it and make it into some sort of weapon?

How do they breathe?
I mean, while it is possible to breathe oxygen suffused liquid, ([link] ) its an extremely unpleasant sensation each time the participant is in and out of the suit. Having your great characters barf up liquid from their lungs each time they exit their suits sure isn't that ... nice and shiny

haha...well, I hadn't really thought much about the actual science of it. I did know about the concept of oxygenated liquid, and I was kind of going to run with that. It beats the heck out of everyone having to wear a full-face mask just for consistency's sake

The whole jellysuit thing is really cool. Also, the character really has a great design here. But, I think you should have some of that "armour" extend to the outside like you did with the ear-neck-piece on the other one. If not on the head, maybe on the body. It would make it feel more like the jelly is part of his suit.
Also, I have a hard time getting my head around the head-shape of the suit. Horns are great, but maybe you should simplify it? Just thoughts, It still works out good the way it is.
I really hope you will do something big with the Jellybots-universe! It's a really cool concept with a ton of potential. Good luck, looking forward for more!

Ach...you're totally right. About the armor, for sure. I'll incorporate that as the designs move forward. He has armadillo-esque back-plates...I'll probably pop those out.
I'm sort of attached to the abstractness of his head-shape. I think doing a full-body shot of him might clear some things up. I did correct some of the overlapping shapes, after your comment...I didn't realize one of the horns that was supposed to be at the back was stacking at the front
I'm just not generally sure his overall design is quite where it needs to be yet. I'm a lot fonder of the previous two. Ah well, live and learn! Thanks for the insightful crits, I really appreciate them!
