Description
Apologies in advance to practitioners of beautifully expressive Afro-Carribean religions; I did absolutely no research past watching Major League something like 20 years ago.
Vine charcoal and charcoal pencil on a mixture of tan strathmore and cheap sketch paper, stitched together in GIMP.
And it only took two months to get around to finishing this after posting the quick and dirty pencils. That'll teach me to show a work in progress.

I worried a lot when I was putting this together that it would just seem completely random. Especially because drawing super finely detailed voodoo dolls in charcoal is nearly impossible, so it's hard to tell what they have in their hands/hooves...

Thanks. Charcoal is supposed to teach me blacks and whites so I can paint better. I've never really quite gotten to the "paint better" part, but I enjoy charcoal anyway.

Thanks, I play around with charcoal to teach myself value control (the darks and lights), it's helped my digital painting a little, but mostly I just enjoy the charcoal sketching itself.

I think it could be extrapolated that Spike is engaging in Rarijack (or Jackity, I don't know what you weird-ass shippers call it) but I can't help but think that would be out of character of him for obvious reasons.

I picked up the RariJack bug from *WhiteDiamondsLtd , her enthusiasm is just so delightfully charming, and it doesn't hurt that the art is top notch.
Spike probably would have done what he's doing with any two random ponies he pulled out of the box, though once he realizes he implications he will probably toss the AJ and dig through that box for a Spike...
