Description
Apologies in advance to practitioners of beautifully expressive Afro-Carribean religions; I did absolutely no research past watching Major League something like 20 years ago.
Vine charcoal and charcoal pencil on a mixture of tan strathmore and cheap sketch paper, stitched together in GIMP.
And it only took two months to get around to finishing this after posting the quick and dirty pencils. That'll teach me to show a work in progress.

Thank you! My early attempts at digital color revealed that I had no eye for value (blacks and whites) to make things look solidly 3D, so on a whim I got some charcoal to study shading. Turns out I really enjoy the medium. And it did help my digital painting, although my painting suffers from the same overly sketchy lack of clear detail my charcoal does.

I can see this being a lesson from the show, honestly. It would make for a comical plot, only to end with a lesson about not touching your friends' things if they say not to... although I guess that's less about friendship and more about trying to tell the children that supposedly watch MLP not to steal their friends' toys. I'm not sure where the invisible line is about what lessons they were originally trying to teach.
I still say it would make a funny episode, so nyeh.

I already had something like this in my notebook sometime last year (it was going to be some awkwardly staged single panel with chaos in the background, ponies playing with dolls in the foreground, and Zecora running to put a stop to it in the middle), and during the wedding episode Spike turns out to be better at soap opera romance than Pinkie Pie...
(I also had a zombie-themed two panel script where Twilight cast a spell that created thousands of sugar rushing Pinkie Pie clones, and they were trying to keep them out of the library. Their version was better on that one as well...suppose that's why I have a day job.)

It's funny; in the original script it was RD and Pinkie in Zecora's hut, and Twilight was flying. In the time since I wrote it down, Twilight got wings and Spike displayed a proclivity for romantic entanglement of cake topper decorations...
