Scarlet turned back to Randy, who was on the brink of unconsciousness.

"So... strange," she said as she lowered Randy to the ground. "Remember this the next time you try and pick on someone weaker than you." She said with a low rumble in her throat before releasing Randy, causing him to crumple to the ground. "Because next time, I will kill you." Scarlet then turned to James who shuffled away from her a little.

"Are you going to run away from me now, human," Scarlet said in a low sober tone.

James looked up at Scarlet, she had stood up for him, and more importantly she had saved his life. No one had ever shown such, what was the word, concern for him.

"No," James replied

Back in reality, James sat in front of his laptop. It had been two years since that day, and he thought he had learned everything about Scarlet. Then something caught his attention. James clicked on an icon that read "Recent Activity."

Lady Ophelia Necro's right hand, Amber Cypress, was sighted in Dread Rook Forest, James read silently to himself. Dread Rook Forest, James thought, That's where Lady Necro's tomb is... and Scarlet's trailer.
