For the first part use TuneUp and choose the default boootscreen. For the second, simply delete the bmp.

Very nice, yet again.

Thank you. It is very simple, so it can easily be displayed by XP. (Except of the animation.)

I know. Windows XP doesn't support animated boot screens. But really, who needs them anymore? I mean, my Windows 7 is up within 30 secs. I hardly never see the boot screen because while booting I often get something to drink...

Dark-Knight193 [2011-09-26 06:41:35 +0000 UTC]

Why don't you make the boot screen to have the round of white dots like the bottom pic? It will be more realistic

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

PeterRollar In reply to Dark-Knight193 [2011-09-26 10:46:41 +0000 UTC]

Sorry not possible in XP. I could use Bootskin to make one with dots, but they would also be in one row.

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

Dark-Knight193 In reply to PeterRollar [2011-09-27 04:52:26 +0000 UTC]

It's mean a staying round, not an animated one.

BTW. can't you provide this bootscreen in executable form? so i don't need to instal TUP again?

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

PeterRollar In reply to ZanaGB [2011-06-18 21:04:13 +0000 UTC]

The boot is part of the NTOSKRNL.exe. It is possible to do this. Only this file changes at nearly each Windoes update. So you have to redo this job again and again or you must deactivate Windows update (Not recommended). That's the reson why i use TU. No more probs with Windows update.
It's potentially dangerous to mod this exe.If you really want it, i can do it for you.

ZanaGB In reply to PeterRollar [2011-06-18 21:18:36 +0000 UTC]

I'm a pirate, so i really don't update WinXP anymore... if it is too much trouble, don't do it, i don't want to bug you ^^

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

PeterRollar In reply to ZanaGB [2011-06-18 21:22:36 +0000 UTC]

I never modded this file before.I will try it. New challenge
