About the MOC
YAY another MOC of another Deviant's drawn character! I'm on a roll here. Maybe I should start taking commissions.

This is Kaikoto, CrunchbiteNuva 's character. The original artwork can be found here . :thumb555317873: As you can see, the original artwork is pretty awesome and it inspired me to create this little guy for real. Though I think my version came out considerably "chunkier" than the way he's drawn. I'm pretty okay with this because if you look at Ekimu or Korgot, protectors can be pretty chunky sometimes. This guy is all armored up, so it stands to reason he's a beefy little bastard. I love him.

Also DAT BANNER! It was a bit of a challenge figuring out how I could make his banner. After messing around with a few ideas using cloth elements, none of which worked or looked ridiculous because they were too big, I opted for a technique I had seen on Flickr from other AFOLs and tried my hand at Lego pixel art. The banner sigil is supposed to be Ekimu. I hope it doesn't look too weird. I wish I coulda filled in those 1X1 round tiles with the same blue square ones but I don't have any 1X1 medium blue plates. Oh well if at some point I do I'll fill those in. For now I did the best I could without distracting from the eyes.

DISCLAIMER
He stand's perfectly fine on his own. I included the base for Photography reasons. I wanted a low shot angle of him as I thought he looked best that way, and given that he's such a short character, and with the lip on the front of my light box, there was no way I was gonna get a low angle like that. So I took the time to put 100 1X1 round silver tiles on some plate pieces and used the old rock baseplate from 2006. I think it looks pretty damn good and adds some flair. So I think I'll keep this as an official part of the MOC. Its not like I'll miss the studs, I got a crap tone of those off the Pick-A-Brick wall.

I dunno what his story is, ask I doubt he has one, but I dunno maybe he could be like an ancient protector from when Ekimu was still kickin around, and various protectors had different cultural themes, and fire could be like chinese/Japanese cultured, and Stone is Egyptian and so on. it's a neat idea.
