Description Description and bio. Marvel at the colossus of the desert, devastator of plateaus, a mechanize malicious menace...MOTOTAUR! Part man, part savage beast, all fury. Mototaur is core member of the Insurgence Of Darkness, trumped by only one other member, but only in cunning. His size, that of a mountain, strength far surpassing that of protosteel, speed aided by his motorized feet and body, is reach, that of the length of a kohli field with his bohrok head morning star.
Mototaur is very old, perhaps one of the oldest members of the insurgence. It is said that he was unearthed from deep within one of the nui islands, released from imprisonment set upon him long ago by the order of mata Nui to wreak havoc upon the deserts of Metru nui. Despite being old Mototaur acts and moves as if he were young. This is perhaps the result of a hibernation brought on by the imprisonment. It is known that Remaku is the one who sought him out and released him. The details are all rumored as Mototaur's wrath upon the sands was of a sudden one, appearing as if a sandstorm. Villagers of the various desert regions simply stay out of his way and bend to his will, for he could singlehandedly be the down fall of a village. Only teams of toas and titans have bested him, and only rarely

The new build
Mototaur got a massive overhaul from the previously "completed" version. He's been completely rebuilt from the abdomen down. A third pneumatic piston was incorporated into his torso for optimum stability. His forearms redone to include Caterpillar tracks in them. His neck has been fleshed out, his head received additions and additional armor has been placed here and there. This revamp has proven most challenging at ever turn, even leading me down dead ends thusly having to backtrack.

Unfortunately, he's not everything I envisioned in the new designs. His stability is near what it used to be but sadly not of the standard I'd like it to be and I lack the proper parts to adequately see this though. But his designs are sufficient enough to be shared and considered a Complete version of him. In due time I will once again revisit what by now is probably my signature MOC to hopefully improve upon what I deem to be inferior designs and make hims stabler and more poseable. Maximum stability and poseablity is my ultimate goal with these larger MOCs.

Now while its said that this is Version 3, this is actually a much later version, but I've lost track of how many version I had before the first version posted here on

Detail layout Can be viewed here.

*update*

I can't believe it, I got a DD Thank you so very much To ~Alex-Darkrai for suggesting me and having some truly kind words to say about My work. I humbly accept this great honor I really hope this will shed some much needed light in the bionicle MOCing Community here on Deviant art and incourage more MOCers to make the switch from off site locations to here for their MOC hosting and socializing. Once again, thank you so much every one.

Oh and I promise I'll get to all your comments. And thank you to everyone who faved any of my Deviations.

It was 9. They ended it in 2010 and it came out in 2001 so it would have been ten years old this year. Fuckin retarded ass lego, coulda made a killing making a 10th anniversary line of bionicle, even if they kept HF a separate line to celebrate bionicle would have been really popular with a lot of people.

Not in the slightest. I don't keep count and there are parts inside of part on top of parts inside of more parts. its a big ol mess of pieces.

I give 5 . Not for quality of photo. Just for model. It's strange from one side for me. How model made from legos can be DA? But model is great.

Great job. You can see all the detail that was put into this build. Very solid and well-structured.

About how tall is he in this pose?

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

Plague-Doc-Matteo In reply to ZogtheAngryChipmunk [2011-08-10 23:20:21 +0000 UTC]

For all that solidity and structure he's still pretty flimsy. He's such a pain to even get standin up.

Hmmm about 25-26 inches.

Holy shizzles, this is the most enourmous Bionicle I have ever seen. A darn good looking one at that. The amount of detail is amazing, as if it was meant to be in stores. I would buy ten.

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

Plague-Doc-Matteo In reply to Mysterious-G [2011-08-10 23:22:22 +0000 UTC]

Wow thanks. He'd be really expensive if you bought him in stores, like $300-$400 cause of all the parts to him and the fact that the instructions would be so big.

This is an incredibly intricate lego model. Just goes to show what you can do with Technics pieces.

One thing for sure though, please take better photos! Bathe this thing in light so that you can use ISO 100 for smooth non-noisy images that would be great.

Plague-Doc-Matteo In reply to foxorian [2011-08-10 23:25:41 +0000 UTC]

Thank you. I think this has shown a lot of people what can be done with bionicle pieces.

I do the best I can with what I've got. I've only got two lamps to work with and my crappy point and shoot camera. :/

Turn the ISO setting on your camera, all the way down, that's what's making the picture so fuzzy.

Plague-Doc-Matteo In reply to DarkTailss [2011-08-10 23:23:51 +0000 UTC]

OOoooh Okay. Thanks. I just used the auto setting with the macro option. I don't know much about proper camera settings and all that. The photography element of this hobby is more a necessary evil.
