O-jin. (ow jean), Malevolence, sadism, insanity, animosity and evil incarnate. Perhaps the nastiest Villain one could come across. He is a ruthless killer. He's rather tactless and quite mad as well. Its rumored that he's not even alive, that he is a demon or apparition. The only people to see him or his face are his colleagues in insurgence of darkness, a group of very powerful, skilled, revered and feared combatants who operate outside of both the brotherhood of Makuta and the dark hunters guild, though are comprised of members of both. You could say they are an "in between" of the brotherhood and the DHG, and beyond them at the same time. Anyone else who is said to have seen the eyes of this demon were slain by him for that very act on its own. Like every member in the insurgency O-jin is some form of mercenary and assassin. He was inducted into the insurgency because they needed a member who could handle and specialize in missions pertaining to ice terrain(more so than ryakk) and it was a smarter decision to make O-jin an ally than an enemy. O-jin's strength doesn't necessarily lie in physical strength or speed, but more so his quick unpredictable fighting and skillful use of his weapons.

I drew from a Japanese influence on this character. for instance his hat. It is suppose to be a shallow rice hat. His face is also suppose to be something Japanese. Oni, which means "demon" in japanese are popularized in japanese folklore Oni usually have horns and a very Toothy mouth or smile. Samurai often would wear masks of oni as a scare tactic. I wanted him to basically be a Japanese ice demon. His scythe was a natural choice. He's also supposed to have a hint of "death" in him, which is why one, he's somewhat skeletal looking, and he has the scythe.

Its very fitting that O-jin is of the ice elements, nothing could is as cold and merciless as ice.
