Description
After staring at the "desk" and chair I rigged up for <-this, I felt like taking an actual swing at making a desk for Matteo I initially was just going to do dark red and the brown, then I realized my old bionicle playsets didn't give me the right amount of the right kind of bricks in dark red, so I had to improvise. What I came up with was an "Demon and angel" theme. It seems like the kind of thing Matteo would have given he sort of walks that line between good and bad. I also included a drawer that actually slides in and out on the demon side. I was going to add a larger drawer underneath it, as well as ones on the Angel side but it wouldn't have really worked since I didn't have the right parts to make the walls of the drawers. So Matteo's desk gets one drawer and a cubby hole on the angle side. He's a Utilitarian anyways, he doesn't need much. Background image belongs to I do not own or claim to own any part of it. I simply used it because it fit the theme I used.

the reason i gave it a 4 was because it was unexpected and the draw, come on its a draw.

Thanks for the Critique. I'm glad you like it. The big Mahogany desk was what I was going for. But The technique isn't all that good. I settled for what worked for the "good" side. So I think the technique rating is too high. I'd given myself a 3 at the highest.

Thank you, I'm glad you like it. I should really come back to this idea and redo it some day when I can get some really good parts for it.

That would be awesome ! Also, I must say that I think it would have been better if you used the clear Takanuva mask on the angel side, but YOU DID SUCH A GOOD DECISION ON USING THE PIROX MASK ON THE DEMON SIDE !!

Oh that's a really good idea. I'll definitely have to try that next time. I went with the Nokama mask cause its blue and I think it fit better for the theme. But I'll definitely have to play around with the crystal takanuva mask. I do have one to.
Funny thing is I started out wanting to do a full "demon desk" but quickly ran out parts, so I switched it up to this Angel and Demon theme. It ended up making the desk not very good in my opinion, at least not nearly as good as I had wanted it. But now even if I could do it with all the parts I needed, i think I like the whole Angle and Demon feel more. That's really Matteo's personality because he's been both good and bad at some point in him immortal life. I've always portrayed him as more of a good guy in the serious tone(but as a total jerk in Bionicle MOCkery), so I really need to work on showing him as a bad guy I think. I guess I should stop myself I can blabber on about matteo endlessly.

You definitely should.
Yeah, its always good to put parts of personality in objects that belong to a MOC.

i liked this since i saw it on facebook, just one question, you may have sort of answered it in the description anyway, but if you had two pyrox heads and the appropriate pieces, would you make the desk symmetrical?

Thank you. Yes absolutely! I like the "evil" side. I did the other side due to a lack of the parts I used to make the evil side. HAHA. Its pretty lame I think. I did it that way cause it was the only way I could think to salvage the concept. I originally envisioned Matteo's desk as being a big carved wooden desk with lots of ornate decorations, but I wasn't able to pull that off the way I envisioned. I'm actually just gonna tear this apart and come back to it when I can order parts for it.

I had an old MOC I designed. I just compared it to Matteo. I am unsure how this happened, but we both ended up with guys with tophats. This MOC, who I really haven't named yet, is supposed to be an early genetic experiment from the Celestian Empire. He is colored awkwardly and has mixmatched body parts so the people researching his reactions could tell exactly what species that each part came from, like Frankenstein. He has a Celestian head (4 eyes, but redder than normal), a Celestian/Pyrix mixed blade (Celestian-designed hilt and Pyrix flames capable of shooting from it like a flamethrower), a Pyrix shield (Skrall shield embedded on his left arm), and a Pyrix body design with several blades sticking out of him (Reddish-gray-black). He also has the ability to bend his left arm back behind what would normally be possible, and several joints seem flexible. For example, he can easily twist his neck over so the top of his head faces the ground. His right arm has no hand, because he is a recent escapee. The scientific facility he was created in always imprints a tracking device in their right hands, which he has cut off. However, this arm has a large flame-shooting blade embedded within it. He has a Celestian left leg and a Pyrix right upper leg, with Culner-type feet on both legs. His tail is made of the DNA of a yet-unknown Rahi, as all those who see him have never seen what it came from (A Tahtorak from the early Bionicle stories), and his shoulders are made of Culner pieces (Trans-green Glatorian heads). His most recognizable feature, however, is his Tophat. It has a black rim that appears to be made of a large gear-piece, and the rest of it is 6 green smaller gears. When destroyed, he can produce a new one out of nowhere, which cannot be explained by any researcher, no matter how trained he is in the study of pocket dimensions, matter creation, or otherwise. However, this produces an intense hatred of whoever destroyed the hat, and it is theorized that it takes a large amount of mental energy to produce a new hat out of nowhere. It will take a large amount of bribing to keep any relationship with him, whether friend or ally, intact if you destroyed it.

Ummm not to be rude, but okay? Cool? Don't really know what to say to all that. It sounds like you've put a lot of thought into your character, which is good. Matteo is the only character of mine I've given a fair amount of back story and characteristics.

The second one looks very cool way to multipurpose and save space, very efficient, the third one is meh, average, but was kinda what I was gonna go for WS if you didn't give me any suggestion. I just figured his desk should be accommodating for one desk top with a big monitor and at least two laptops.

There's not really enough actual build for that. Its just a small desk for bionicle figure. That'd work on a larger structure.
Lego does that on technic sets to.

i'll try to explain this again. (my fault)
i was saying that what if new lego sets were made from old mix matched lego sets.
the orginal designer just fills in the color parts he has at the time.
the people above him think the set looks great as is. it gets turned into a new set.
that's the my story behind the strange colored bricks inside lego models. lol
