Description
A successful test of a new bark texture I was working on. This is an abstracted teapot. The handle is either the new-growth twig, or the sawed off branch. The lid is the core from the top. This is the last teapot of my wood series. I will make more, but they will only be for fun. My work is moving in a different direction. I'm trying to move away from utilitarian forms.
^6 Reduction with 5 hour heavy soak. Red and black iron oxide applied to bark for color. No glaze was used.

How many hours would you say this took to make? (Not including firing)

The detail here is amazing! I would never want one of my pieces to be shown next to yours, cause nobody would care about mine.
Or at least if I saw your piece I wouldn't care about the other stuff around it.

lol, well some people can work really tightly and others work loose. I cannot do the loose work very well so I envy those artists.
I'm glad that you like my pieces!
