Gallantry froze in terror as he watched the glass cup fall off the counter and shatter to the floor. The young colt flinched and quickly hid under the table as the echos of the loud hoofsteps racing down the hall came.

"GALLANTRY YOU LITTLE SHIT! WHERE ARE YOU!?"

Gall flinched at the booming voice of his drunk father, Acorn Crack, tears pricked his eyes out of fear as he listened to the stallion angrily stomped around the kitchen, looking for his misbehaving son.

Soon he noticed the tip of a little pink tail sticking out from under the covered table. Growling he stomped over and gripped the tail between his teeth, dragging the screaming and crying colt into his view.

"DID YOU FUCKING DO THIS!?!" Acorn pointed angrily to the shattered glass on the floor, his crying son covering his head in fear and nodding.

Acorn lifted his hoof to land a hit on the foal before a voice stopped him.

"Acorn Crack."

Gall peaked out from under his hooves to see his mother Peach Fuzz standing in the doorway, a stern look on her face.

Knowing she'd always protect him Gallantry quickly fled from his father and hid under his mother, shivering in fear as he took cover.

Acorn huffed and approached the two, sizing up his wife as he glared at her.

"Keep that fucking kid under control, Peach."

With that he left, clearly still pissed. Peach sighed in annoyance as she nudged her son away.

"M-Mommy?"

Peach Fuzz ignored him, only giving him a pissed off look as she cleaned up the glass. Taking the hint, Gallantry quickly scurried off to the safety of his bedroom.

As long as he wasn't in their sight they'd calm down.
