since we are on the subject of hair physics, can you tell me how to stop hair from stretching to far out while a model is dancing?

Β i have a model i am working on andΒ  when she spins around in a motion like Daisuke, her ponytail swings to far out while she is turning and it is creating a long wierd stretch effect like an expanding rubberband

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

RitaLeader14 In reply to DGCain [2020-02-21 22:25:13 +0000 UTC]

It seems like one physic with the ponytail is not connected to a bone. For instance in the physics tabs in the top right corner is a little drop down menu. Find the hair physic that is causing a problem and check if its connected to a bone. If not, it needs to be connected to that hair bone.

The hair I am having trouble with is hair I have ported from XPS, and in between the hair lines there is white, and the edges are also white too. How do I fix it?

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

RitaLeader14 In reply to MarKreations [2020-01-04 03:18:03 +0000 UTC]

that sounds like a texture issue. Is the texture in the folder with the hair

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

MarKreations In reply to RitaLeader14 [2020-01-04 03:47:10 +0000 UTC]

Yes. Do you mean the texture has white around the hair pieces? If that's the case, how do I fix that?

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

RitaLeader14 In reply to MarKreations [2020-01-04 04:06:58 +0000 UTC]

Usually changing the transparency helps by going to the materials tab and put 0 in the first box to the right. that has an "A" above it.

MarKreations In reply to RitaLeader14 [2020-01-04 04:27:14 +0000 UTC]

What would that be for PMX Editor? That's the one I use

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

RitaLeader14 In reply to MarKreations [2020-01-04 05:42:16 +0000 UTC]

There should be an A above the Transparency box. Its located on the right of the Materials tab. Next to bones and morph. When opening Materials, there is a box at the top right with an A above it.

Hmmm maybe you can move them back to the original position.

Hacez07 In reply to RitaLeader14 [2019-09-09 04:03:50 +0000 UTC]

The bones won't follow whenever I move the model, I saw some joints are not connected so I fixed those but it doesn't fix the bones.

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

RitaLeader14 In reply to Hacez07 [2019-09-09 04:13:08 +0000 UTC]

Hmm... I still think that the bones do not have the right parents then. The bones should follow each other for example. The hair bones on the bottom should have the bones above them be their parents and so on and so forth. sometimes reentering their numbers help.

are the bones connected to the IKs?

Yes

It seems like the hidden bones are not lined up, however.

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

TyrannosaurusRex-123 In reply to RitaLeader14 [2019-03-24 15:38:45 +0000 UTC]

So where do I connect them to?

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

RitaLeader14 In reply to TyrannosaurusRex-123 [2019-03-24 16:31:43 +0000 UTC]

You just move the hidden bones where the IKs are.

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

TyrannosaurusRex-123 In reply to RitaLeader14 [2019-03-25 17:45:38 +0000 UTC]

I did this, and this is the result.

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

RitaLeader14 In reply to TyrannosaurusRex-123 [2019-03-25 17:59:39 +0000 UTC]

Are the right hidden bones lined up with the right IKs? Usually the ones closest to each IK indicates where they should be at.
