I have just ordered my first BJD head. I ordered a Practice Head from Doll Family - A, and it will take a few weeks before I get it. I have been looking around at various face up tutorials for BJD's and I was wondering if it would be possible for you to tell me the brand and name of the brushes in this tutorial, or where you bought them. Also, I am wondering. Does it matter in which order you paint acrylics and pastels? Does the pastel have to be painted before the acrylics, or even the other way around? Or can I do as I please? Thank you so much for this tutorial. I imagine it will be a great help to me.

Congratulations on purchasing your first BJD head!
I couldn't tell you the brand because these brushes are China noname or purchased a very long ago. Try to search for high quality brushes in a local art stores, and search for tiny ones in a nail art shops - there are a good and cheap brushes. You also may order the brushes online. Just see how my brushes look and buy similar ones.
You may use pastels and acrylics in any oder you want, just remember that any medium should be fixed with sealant first. I use Mr. Super Clear (MSC) as a sealant for faceups. So, my order of painting looks like that: MSC - pastels - MSC - pastels - MSC - acrylics - MSC - more pastels if needed - MSC - more acrylics if needed - MSC - gloss.
Also, pastels over acrylics tend to make acrylics more dim. Acrylics on top looks more bright and glossy.
Follow these rules, find your own style and order of work with practice. Good luck!

I thought of another question...
Does the resin get "worn" after a few times of cleaning face ups off? I intend to use Winsor & Newton Brush Cleaner and Restorer, since I saw someone use it in a tutorial and it is non-toxic and aceton free.

It depends on the resin. Example: I own i-Doll Byul, she had 3 faceups, and her face is paler than the rest of her head now. I thought it was due to the fact her face is exposed to the light mostly. But another owner of the same mold said that pigment in her resin is unstable and washes out with each faceup removal. I can't say for sure but there IS a possibility.
She's normalskin with obvious pink shade, and pinkish normals are less stable than yellowish normals.

I have Soom and Luts dolls, both are normalskin, they didn't change the color at all.

I don't think W&N may cause any harm to your dolls. If faceup is removed gently everything should be ok.

Thank you! I'm glad that my tutorial are helpful! The most amazing thing I find in doing faceups is that a character is brought to life by your hand. Your friend trusts you to pull out the characters out of the shell, it's amazing I have this feeling too, as I have the same situation with my friend
