Now VIDEO TUTORIAL is available as well: www.youtube.com/watch?v=PkfAo9…

Hint on stuff: says that beading wire of 24-26 gauge is perfect for wiring too (Dollzone hands were wired).

I sold my two pairs of Illusion Spirit jointed hands because I hated how they wouldn't stay in any position I put them in. I should have waited and then did this. Maybe I'll get another set to try this on. Great tutorial.

That's a pity you couldn't enjoy your hands(( Yes, those little jointed monsters could drive owner crazy sometimes. I hope my tutor will help you if you'll decide to purchase a pair again, thank you!

This is really clever! I don't have any dolls with jointed hands, but this is so clever

Awesome, my jointed hands like to do their own thing sometimes, and I hadn't even thought of wiring them. Great tutorial.

Very very useful! I feel that jointed hand have slippery joints and it annoys me that sometimes I can't put it in some positions, 'cause it won't let me XD But with wiring everything is easier

Thank you so much! The main issue with jointed hands is that they are so tiny, and hotglue or sueding is no option. Wiring can do wonders, and different brands improve differently, but they improve. I had the best results with Dikadoll ones, though properly strung Soom is rather good on its own.

I'm really glad to hear that, since I'm waiting for a pair of Soom jointed hands. I already played with some and yes, I think they can be really hard to pose... the best ones I played with are the Illusion Spirit, 'cause they didn't need any wiring and came very firm. They weren't mine though XD I'll surely wire my soom hands
