Description Making Little Mermaid Tutorial-Part 3, caudal fin, the base and flowers

Follow the pictures and compare them. You can figure out the turning points step by step.
This tutorial is focused on the Caudal fin of the little mermaid.

The clay is soft, you have no way to sculpt it without make a hard base first, make very thin layer of clay, try to get the basic shape first and baked. apply clay on it bit by bit. Always make big portion first, when you are happy with it than go to the detail lines. I took pictures for the angles as many as possible, so you may see how it has changed.

What kind of brush you use to smooth? and what kind of substance you use? if not are annoying my questions ^^

It's a frequent question asked, but not annoying at all! You may see it on my tools tutorials. Nylon brushes and nail polish remover will do.

That rock with all the growth on the bottom looks amazing! (well, the whole sculpture does, but yeah) I love how the tail fin looks like underwater plants or an underwater flower of sorts

Thanks so much for your kind words! Appreciate that!
The sculpture came from a color pencils drawing that I did. I may post it also.
The tail is a main point that I like to share, I like it a lot myself!

These tutorials are pretty awesome!

The clay looks "wet" when you're working on it. Do you use something to help keep it smooth?

Thanks!!
I didn't do much to keep it "wet", that's the nail polish remover I brushed on to make the surface smooth.
