Description
Last year, I had told that I was making a drawing of her characters just for fun. Well, after numerous breaks interrupted by a few occasional minutes of adding more stuff to it, I guess I can say that it's done!It all started out with an experiment with another style (yes, another one). It was all sketched out in pencil at first. Then, I received a set of art pens as a gift and I just had to try them out on something! So, I grabbed a random sketch and started in on it. I had planned on giving it to Kalkie (or Kay) as a gift, of course, but it soon became more complex than I'd first intended. I just hope it looks ok digitally!
I know it looks terribly incomplete, but that is because I would like to ask to color it! So, without further ado: Please, please, PLEASE color it! I can't work with color just yet, though I'm working on it.
...
When you have time, of course. No rush.
...
If you really want to.
--update--
Oops! I was so tired last night that I hadn't realized I'd forgotten to say who these characters were! For shame!
These are, from the top down, Tellou, Alunwey, and Ysef from Kay's Necromancer comic. They stood out to me mainly because I was there when she was drawing them for a class.
Here we see the characters battling some sort of black liquid thingy. I just needed some way of splitting the page into three sections. The composition was supposed to look like a poster or something (thus the people in back having no legs).
I chose to make Ysef look more like a fighter than a spell-caster, since I really didn't want to have to draw those complicated floating rune things. Of course, those can be added in digitally if Kay wants it. We'll see.
Alunwey's dress was based on a few costume designs from a book on historical English fashions. I just had to give her curls just to see how it would turn out.
Tellou looks a bit more buff than usual. I say it's the suit. His hair was actually pretty fun to draw! Hopefully, everyone is still recognizable.
Anyway, obviously all these characters belong to Kalkie.

MAN I'M FREAKING TERRIBLE- I never left you a comment for this! T_T
Fun composition, It does remind me of like a poster or comic pinup.
I actually love that you decided to make Ysef look more like a fighter than a spell caster, maybe because his physique demands something more aggressive than saying spells. I think putting runes at this point is only going to be quite distracting.
Alunwey is so adorable, man I love the curls you gave her! and Tellou, yes I rather like how you did his hair too XD;
Overall, the thing that has me giggling in glee is seeing them so radically different from my own style but still so them. Makes me wish you could crank out comic pages of my story just so I can see more of this style XDXDXD *gets shot*

Don't worry! I'm just glad to hear you like it!
Thanks for noticing Alunwey's curls. I saw that she didn't have a set hairstyle and decided to experiment. Victorian hairstyles always seem to involve a lot of curls, so adding that detail was irresistible.
Your characters have very clear and expressive personalities, making them easier to represent in other styles. It's always fun to push the boundaries of a character's visual style without affecting his/her individual role or other details.
I do plan to draw them again sometime. If you'd like to suggest something, please do! I'm open to collaboration.

Sure! The more the merrier! And thanks for the high praise!
By the way, I put up most of my inked character pictures with the hopes that someone would color them. So, if you want to color any others, just let me know!
