)It's not really a tutorial on the progress of drawing, but just some tips on how to use Paint Tool SAI more efficiently. It's also a great time saver for people who begin using this program or who want to try it out.
Not everything is in there though, I discovered more things since I made this.

Since I wasthinking about doing a tutorial on pony art anyway, I figured it would be a good idea to re-upload it here as well ^^

Oh, putting a border around stuff you mean?
That's not done with the fringe option.
For that you need to follow these steps:
- Select the areas you want to put a border around (with the magic wand tool for example).
- Create a new layer under that one.
- Go to the Selection menu and click Increment (the 4th thing in the menu). Click it several times. The more you use it, the thicker the border will be.
- Fill the area inside the selection with the bucket tool in the desired color.
That's it ^^

when i put my stabilizer to 15 it just has the same dull edge, it doesn't help D;

Hmm... Do you use a tablet? Does it support pen pressure? Do you have the latest drivers installed?
If so, are you using the pen pressure? Decreasing the pressure of the pen near the end of the stroke?

yes i do use a tablet, i believe it does, and i think i do. I'm trying to look for the pen pressure thingy, and I did do that in SAI

Do you get pen pressure effects in other programs or with other tools in SAI? (like thicker strokes or darker strokes when applying more pressure)
It might be a glitch in SAI, it's not the stablest of programs. Maybe try re-installing it or look for another source (maybe the one you found (permanently) malfunctioning).

I've been using the preserve opacity for what you just didn't recommend for the past year.
Now I'm wiser! I'll use the clipping! Thank you! :'D *Thinks of all the times she messed up with that preserve opacity feature and the many layers she created, thinking it would solve the preserve opacity problem. :'I*

Clipping means having more layers though.
But I'm always grateful I split up everything when I find mistakes near the end

Ahaha ;w; Preserve Opacity got me about 7 extra layers because each color I applied, I made a new preserve opacity layer of the previous layer. >.<)

That's pretty odd. Have you tried re-installing the program? Sounds like a bug.

I bet he's not using a drawing tablet, if you don't have one then it wont work, and you have to program it to create a sharper\pointed line manually
