well yeah this brush can make super smooth lines, but also you can add an vector layer so you can change things afterwards and drag the lines around.
i never do.

True, but I find the vector tools to be very "hard" and solid. And the ends of a stroke aren't very sharp either.
so, I prefer to do everything with the normal tools ^^
Even the 'regular' pen tool seems softer than the vector pen. but maybe I'm just imagining things x3

Thanks for this! I found it very helpful for computer art in general I reckon I might give Sai a go, I currently use gimp but it doesn't seem to support my tablet very well

You're welcome ^^
I don't have any experience with any other program but SAI,
but from what I hear from others... just don't use GIMP
it's a weird program

I'm so glad I'm not the only one who uses that damn stroke stabilizer.
Usually when I ask people just wonder what it is, either that or tell me that, "a real artist doesn't need a stabilizer."
And then I want to punch people ^u^

I think your only option is to use a tool that has dampning or stabilization, like Corel painter. Sad that Adobe can't add it into PS, it's a fairly easy feature to make.

Shouldn't be too hard to make a version of LazyNezumi that would work on mac either.

If you can get Flash, it has a stabilizer. It's not quite as nice as SAI's though ^ u^'

Practice, my little grasshopper
When I started out I had it set all the way to S-7. It was reeeeally slow but it helped and gradually I made my way to S-3 or 2
