i have heard of gimp, but unfortunately i am unfamiliar with both of those programs. i tried to download gimp to see if there is some way to spherize, labeled under a different name, but i couldnt find anything. sorry!

Seing this method is inspiring.... I wonder what happens if I combine it with mine... I wish I had time to find out right away...^^

As for the tutorial: In my opinion you've written it nicely, in a way which is easy to understand, with all the detail needed. and of course it's great you included images You see, I don't have much to say, since this is - at least for me - a tutorial that's got everything a good tutorial needs. nuff said.

sewer-pancake In reply to Sherigan [2012-06-19 17:48:26 +0000 UTC]

well, im glad you think so, and if you can mix it with yours, i think that would be awesome.

Sherigan In reply to sewer-pancake [2012-06-19 17:55:55 +0000 UTC]

Well, I'm basically using GregMartin's method (good chance you know that one), but it somewhat limits me to gas planets only. Your tutorial gives me a ridiculously simple method to do more - at least if it works out the way I want

i actually started with a greg martin tutorial, but went on to develop my own method over the past four years. this style of planet was actually just a 'happy accident'.
