Description
I apologize for the font used in these tutorials. I can't remember why I chose it in the first place but I kept using it so the tutorials would have some continuity in the form of layout.People keep asking me how I make the cyberlox falls I have, so I decided to make a simple tutorial. Or at least it's simple to me. I hope this will help some of you and that the instructions are clear enough to understand. Explaining has never been my strongest asset.
If there's anything that needs clarification or if you want to know more, just ask!
If someone needs information on how to actually attach cyberlox on their hair, I can help with that aswell. I can also make a foam/dread falls tutorials if needed.
Sorry for the grammatical errors, I'm so knackered I can't be bothered correcting anything XD

It says it in the "What you need: Cyberlox" paragraph ;> There's a really good supplier called I Kick Shins, I buy my supplies from them.

Okay, these are really cool. But my hair is only about 10 centimeters long where the falls would attach, is it possible? :C

SpookyLoop In reply to WritheMarkers [2012-07-09 10:28:37 +0000 UTC]
It can be tricky, but I'd say you can pull it off. Cyberlox is a very light material so the falls would probably stay on well. The only problem I can think of on the top of my head is that the hair might be a bit harder to hide because if it's short, it might "pop up" through the lox.

Would I have to attach them a certain way? Like... Weird pigtails?
Here's a pic so you can see how short it is; [link]

Just like you normally would should work fine (: It can be difficult because of the length but you'll never know unless you try!

This helped alot! but one question
i have kinda long kair *past my shoulder blades* and very thick *^* how can i keep it hidden under my cyberlocks? ive tried buns and pinning it behind my head but it is eightther too large of a bun or in comes undone TT^TT

SpookyLoop In reply to vrah-prasa [2012-06-11 21:18:52 +0000 UTC]
Hmm... I'd say you need lox that isn't see-through and lots of it. I have very long hair (almost to the waist) but it's quite fine so I just try to make the bun as tight as possible and then use bobby pins to keep some strategically placed lox in its place so the buns won't show too much.

how much did you have left over after making these?
๐: 0 โฉ: 1
SpookyLoop In reply to xXxKwAg15xXx [2012-06-02 10:00:18 +0000 UTC]
Ooh tough question! I made these three years ago so I might not remember correctly. I believe I had 25 yards in total and I think I used about 14 yards or so. I ran out of the white lox since I only had 5 yards of it but I still have a bunch of striped and red loxes so I'd say I was left with maybe 11 yards.
But it varies a lot based on length and fullness etc, so I suggest getting too much supplies rather than too little.

About how much do you pay for the bags of Cyberlox? Also, would you do commissions and how much for a pair?
๐: 0 โฉ: 1
SpookyLoop In reply to bakainu-2112 [2012-02-20 21:24:10 +0000 UTC]
I think I Kick Shins has 10 yard bags which cost 14 dollars. They also give out bulk discounts and do commissions and sell readymade falls on Etsy.
In theory, I would love to do commissions but since I live in Finland and the shipping costs would be more than the material costs, I don't think it's the best way to go. Cyberlox falls are really easy to make (and quite cheap since the other materials don't cost much), give crafting a go! (:

And I know how that goes, haha. Shipping can be such a killer. If I can I'm sure I'll try to make them!

I made some cyberlox!! I skipped the sewing part and just used the rexlace and tied it around them, then tied that around the hair band. It works quite well. ^-^ [link] This pair is actually for a friend of mine and I'll be making my own later in the week with another friend. ^-^

SpookyLoop In reply to FrozenBleedingStake [2011-09-23 15:58:24 +0000 UTC]
Yeah the sewing part isn't necessary but it's good if you want to make sure the cyberlox stay in their place and don't fall off (:
They're looking good btw (:

do you think i can use ths totorial to my fake dreads? .. i loved my dread but they ruined my hair so i had to take them out D: .. so i kinda wished i could do this to them.. do u think it would work?
๐: 0 โฉ: 1
SpookyLoop In reply to Missetatkissin [2011-06-29 11:33:37 +0000 UTC]
To make fake dreadfalls, you mean? Yeah why not. It's very similar to this but with few exceptions. Based on your pics I'd say you have double-ended dreads so this is what you do to them: fold the dread and put a little rubber band to the folded end. That should create a loop (similar to single-ended dreads). When all the dreads have loops, just divide them into two piles (one for the left side of the head and one for the right) and start adding the dreads to the lace (put the lace through the loops). And you just keep doing that until you have enough dreads for one fall (: Note that you can't use hair bands with dreadfalls cause the dreads weigh so much, so use some sort of stronger lace for tying them.
Adding dreadfalls to your hair is a bit different from adding cyberlox, since cyberlox is superlight and dreads are not. This tutorial explains it quite well [link] . If twisting the hair doesn't work for you, try braiding the hair and then making them into buns (you won't need the extra lace to secure the hair then).
I hope I'm making even some sense now...

I found the same one from Paris though, and I think XtraX sells them as well.

hi i love these and i wanna try and make them but i was wondering do you HAVE to have long hair to wear them? cause my hair is REALLY short and i never let it grow out
so i was just wondering if hair length has to do with anything about wearing them
