Nice!

I would use a background color instead of black, in my opinion. I would also make it all a tad sharper

You should totally do a planet tutorial.

Stamga In reply to dragonnick1001 [2011-07-25 12:14:34 +0000 UTC]

There are plenty of planet tuts out there, and my planets aren't that great compared to others

dragonnick1001 In reply to Stamga [2011-07-25 13:39:10 +0000 UTC]

I found one, but I still like how you manage to style yours to fit the background, That, is what I wanted to learn

Stamga In reply to dragonnick1001 [2011-07-25 21:35:37 +0000 UTC]

Yeah.. I might come up with one some time.

TheBrightBeast [2011-05-26 15:57:23 +0000 UTC]

would this work in GIMP?

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

Stamga In reply to TheBrightBeast [2011-05-26 21:13:37 +0000 UTC]

It probably could, though the tools aren't set up the same way.
I also don't think that you have blending modes in GIMP.

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

Nerkle In reply to Stamga [2012-01-25 21:08:09 +0000 UTC]

Yup, there are blending modes in gimp, not all the same as photoshop but most are there.

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

Stamga In reply to Nerkle [2012-01-26 20:20:26 +0000 UTC]

Cool.
But it would still be hard to follow my tutorial in GIMP.
If you get to do it, please tell me

Does photoshop CS have all the tools needed? Cause if not not I will have to use stock images...Well, I'm only starting my first anyway, lol.

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

Stamga In reply to Nod3 [2010-09-01 00:41:24 +0000 UTC]

Actually, you only need an extra free program called Apophysis [link] to generate the fractal for the nebula.

I really recommend you to get it if you want to have the same effect as above.

Nod3 In reply to Stamga [2010-09-01 06:02:58 +0000 UTC]

Ok, thanks, I'll try and use it
